Customizations
Can residents mount a TV in their apartment?
Yes. Please use caution when drilling into walls to avoid hitting electrical wiring or pipes. We suggest using a stud finder when mounting a TV. All holes made must be smaller than the size of a dime.
Can residents paint their apartment?
Yes. You are welcome to paint the walls in your apartment home, but must be painted back to their original color prior to moving out.
Can residents install curtain rods in their apartment?
Yes. Please use caution when drilling into walls to avoid hitting electrical wiring or pipes. All holes made must be smaller than the size of a dime.
Are grills allowed on patio/ balconies?
No. Grills are not permitted on patios or balconies. We invite you to use the community grills on the rooftop deck area.
Can residents decorate their patio/balcony?
No, Resident(s) agree(s) not to store and/or keep any items and/or personal property other than patio furniture in said area, including, but not limited to, the following: trash, bulk items, sporting goods, towels, laundry, small appliances, boxes, toys, strollers, indoor furniture, rugs, screening and fencing, signs, holiday decor, and lights on balconies/patios/decks.
Are satellite dishes allowed on patio/ balconies?
Yes. You may install a satellite dish or antenna provided you sign our satellite dish or antenna lease addendum which complies with reasonable restrictions allowed by federal law.
Can residents smoke on their patio/balcony?
No

Where should a service request be submitted?
All service requests should be submitted through the UDR Resident App.
What qualifies as an emergency service request?
An emergency is any issue that poses an immediate threat to health, safety, property, or essential services and requires urgent attention to prevent further damage or danger.
Who is responsible for replacing smart lock batteries?
We provide Smart Lock batteries at move-in. After that, residents are responsible for replacing them as needed.
