As our name suggests, we’re located directly on the banks of the iconic Charles River. The river runs through 23 different cities before finally passing through downtown Boston and reaching the Atlantic Ocean. Scenic walking paths line its shores while locals often take canoe trips through the quickly flowing waters.
Stunning Natural Parks
Not only is Needham in close proximity to the Charles River but it's also near several wonderful public parks. Nahanton Park, in nearby Newton, offers 57 acres of forests and meadows; the gardens are lovely year-round, and kayakers love the 12 miles of flatwater. Needham is home to one high school, Needham High School, which underwent an extensive renovation in 2009. Mt. Ida College is one of the noteworthy institutions of higher education in the area.
