Location Highlights

Art in the Chelsea District

In the 1990s, much of the New York art scene packed up and vacated SOHO for the Chelsea district. Since that time, galleries showing some of the top art in the world have proliferated throughout the area making it next to impossible to miss out on what’s going on. Between the openings constantly spilling out onto the street and the electric feeling of being there when the next big thing breaks wide open, Chelsea is unsurpassed in presenting the art of now.

The High Line

Few projects have garnered more interest and praise than the nearly 1.5 mile walking park, The High Line. An old elevated railway line, The High Line is perfect for that Sunday stroll or jog, family friendly and fascinating—there’s really no place like it in terms of aesthetics, natural appeal, and easy access.

Shop. Dine. Sleep. Do It Again.

The shopping and dining scenes in Chelsea and neighboring districts are a bit of Paris, London, Rome, and, of course, New York, all swirled together into a feast that will challenge both your fashion-forward stance and stamina. No matter your interest, you’ll find it well represented here. The famed Chelsea Market, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods are just some of the headliners.

Get Up and Gone

You can get there from here. Chelsea is the perfect jumping off point on the island. Cruise up- or downtown. Jump on the 1, 2, or 3, B/D, F/M, and N/Q subway lines along 23rd Street, unlock a Citi Bike, or grab a train at Penn Station to take the PATH trains to New Jersey and points west. With Madison Square Park, Greenwich Village, the Flatiron, and Midtown West all close by, 21 Chelsea luxury apartments is your gateway to the rest of Manhattan.
