The University Is Our Universe

Domain College Park comes by its name, honestly. We're just a few hundred feet off campus, making us one of the closest and the most full-on luxury residential community relative to UMD. With that proximity to all things Terrapin, except for the occasional, quick 30-minute jaunt down to DC, most of our residents enjoy the myriad activities and venues closely associated with the University.

Location Highlights

Terrapin Sports Complexes

Terrapin sports are big. Big excitement. Big business. Big events. Comcast Center for basketball, and Byrd Stadium for football are the twin temples to Terrapin athleticism and NCAA smack-down frenzy. On a game day, the whole neighborhood thumps with anticipation as red, white, black, and gold comprise the only acceptable color palette for the day, while tailgating is universally viewed as the #1 preferred method of dining out. The whole town rocks and, given your home’s next-door status, you can be in on all the fun without any of the hassle of game day traffic or parking. Go Terps!

Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center

The Clarice, as it’s fondly known, is a huge 318,000 square foot performance facility that is home to six individual performance venues, as well as the UMD School of Music and the UMD School of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies. At any given time during the academic year, there can be multiple performance events taking place at the Clarice—from student recitals to full-blown musicals; from guest lecturers, to faculty performances and national touring artists.

Lively Nightlife

At Domain College Park, you’re minutes from a lively nightlife scene. Enjoy casual evenings at Looney’s Pub or Ledo’s along Route 1, or explore Hyattsville’s local spots like Vigilante Coffee and Denizens Brewing Co. For live music and entertainment, MilkBoy ArtHouse is just a short ride away.

Calvert Road Disc Golf Course

Located near the southwest corner of Greenbelt Park, this 18-hole disc golf course is one of the very few in the area and definitely the closest to campus. Fun and challenging for newbies, and a good place for advanced players to tweak their technique, the Calvert Road Disc Golf Course is well-maintained and a great way to get outside and active.

Greenbelt Park

Great for getting outdoors and into a little nature, Greenbelt Park is just that—a patch of pristine green just outside the city center. Perfect for an afternoon or early evening getaway, the park features a beautiful nine-mile system of delightful, hilly trails, a 174-site overnight campground, three picnic areas, and open meadows for flying kites or just soaking up a few rays during lunch. Operated by the National Park Service, Greenbelt Park is open year-round.
